The IEC leadership briefed media on Dermalog’s report on identification of valid and non-standard votes.
Mr. Awrangzeb, the IEC Commissioner, informed media of the start of audit and recount process and added: “the valid biometric data and those with problems were shared with the Commission. Out of 1,929,333 biometric voter data, 1,843,107 were valid and the rest found to be against the criteria”.
Mr. Awrangzeb added: “the technical staff are working on these data to organize this data by administrative unit, PC and station and after the Commission’s decision start the audit and recount process in presence of monitors, observers and media”.
The IEC has announced 14 November 2019 as the day for announcing the preliminary results of the presidential elections.
