Domestic journalists or members of the international media (and their interpreters) may observe polling, provided they are accredited by the IEC.
Complete the A01 form. This registers an organization (observer, political party or media) that wishes to observe the election. This form must be submitted to the IEC office with a signed copy of the code of conduct of conduct and a copy of your organization’s registration details.
Organizations should appoint a Liaison Officer who will be the focal point for contact with the IEC.
The IEC will provide a letter of accreditation and an information pack and will invite the Liaison Officer to coordination meetings.
Note: Candidates registered with the IEC when they were nominated. They do not need to register again. However they do need to appoint a Liaison Officer.
The Liaison Officer collects the accreditation badges a few days later as directed. Summary procedures manuals and copies of the code of conduct are available for all accredited agents and observers.
After the entity or organization is registered, they may accredit agents, observers or media at any time and not all at once.
